POLICE are appealing to the public for help in the search for a missing Basingstoke woman.
Eugenia Bighiu, 66, was last seen 11.10am today (Sunday) near her home in Peveral Walk, Basingstoke.
She has dementia and it is believed she may have gone for a walk to Russell Howard park.
Officers says it is extremely out of character for Eugenia to not be in contact with anyone, and she does not know many people in the area as she is visiting family.
Eugenia is described as white, around 5ft tall, of average build and with light brown hair.
She wears glasses and was last seen wearing a pink puffer jacket and dark red jogging bottoms.
Police are now appealing to the public for assistance and have released a picture of Eugenia.
A statement from Hampshire Constabulary read: “Understandably, both we and her family are concerned for her welfare and have been carrying out enquiries since she went missing.
“Do you recognise the woman in this picture? Have you seen her this afternoon?
“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 348 of today’s date.”
