Greggs is closing its doors in Festival Place
A POPULAR bakery has closed down one of its branches in Basingstoke.
The Greggs shop in Wote Street was shut this morning, with a sign directing customers to its other branch in Festival Place.
There are two further Greggs in the town centre in The Malls and at the bus station, as well as one in Houndmills and one at Chineham Shopping Centre.
It is not known how many people have lost their jobs as a result of the closure of the Top of Town branch, which was open last week.
Greggs has been asked for a comment.
