SIX TEENAGERS have appeared in court accused of affray after a public order incident in Buckskin on Monday (May 25).
Five juveniles, aged between 15 and 17 from Basingstoke, as well as a 19-year-old from Hook appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court yesterday after the incident earlier this week, which happened outside a fast food store on Blackdown Close at around 10pm.
They have all been released on conditional bail, and will reappear at court on July 23.
Police Sergeant Ian Davies said: "We want to reassure the community that we won't tolerate disorder. We need the community to let us know if they see anti social behaviour happening by calling 101 and quoting Operation Witch.
"If an incident or a crime is happening there and then, always call 999."
The 19-year-old, Joseph-Alan Naisbitt of Rectory Road in Hook, appeared alongside two 15-year-olds, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old, all from Basingstoke.
The juveniles cannot be named for legal reasons.
