A COMPANY which last year featured in a prestigious review has been praised by an MP.

Maria Miller MP has visited Clearbox, a digital construction software company based in Winchester Road.

Clearbox featured in the 2017 Parliamentary Review as a best practice representative.

On her visit, the Basingstoke MP met with Clearbox managing director Graeme Forbes and Paul Barton, operations director.

The company discussed the benefits of their Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology in the construction industry and demonstrated how their technology can be used.

Mrs Miller said: “I very much enjoyed my visit to Clearbox. The benefits of the technology in removing wastage in the construction process and providing detailed information before and during projects was very impressive.

"I was also struck by the variety of projects that benefit from the use of Clearbox’s technology. My visit to Clearbox demonstrated again that Basingstoke is a home for innovation.”

Commenting on the visit, Mr Forbes said: “We were delighted to host Maria Miller MP. It was great to see that she was tuned into the issues facing small businesses in the region and listened to the challenges we faced.

"Maria also really understood the benefits that our solutions can offer the construction industry, the ability to have all of the information about your projects in one place, a full audit trail, to enable accurate planning and prevent costly delays to projects.”
