A COMPANY has collected an eggs-ceptional amount of Easter eggs as part of an annual charity appeal.
Access Self Storage, based in Rankine Road, Basingstoke, has collected 500 eggs which will be donated to St Michael’s Hospice, Naomi House & Jacksplace, and the Hampshire Medical Fund.
Residents and businesses had donated with Crystal-Tech, a company offering display solutions, donating 45 eggs and Motorola offering up 150 chocolate eggs to the appeal.
This year the branch has smashed the number of eggs collected last year – 315.
Access Basingstoke store manager Mike Blaszkowicz said: “We are blown away by this year’s record egg collection, we really hoped to beat last year’s target, especially as we have three charities to support, but we have been bowled over by the 500 chocolate eggs we have received.”
Nicola Lawrence, corporate and community co-ordinator from St Michael’s Hospice said: “We rely so much of fundraising and donations to continue the work we do, so we are really grateful to businesses like Access.”
