DELIVEROO, the on-demand food delivery service, is celebrating its fourth birthday in Basingstoke and has revealed the town’s top takeaway trends.
The new data shows that Friday at 7:39pm is the most popular time for locals to order Deliveroo and that Japanese food is the town’s favourite, followed by American and Chinese.
The number one ordered dish is Chicken Katsu Curry from Wagamama, followed by Sweet Chilli Chicken from KOKORO Basingstoke, Burger King’s Bacon Cheese XL meal, the Mighty Burger from Gourmet Burger Kitchen, and Spicy Chilli Beef from Festival Street Kitchen.
Harison Foster, UK regional director, said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Basingstoke over the past four years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”
Since Deliveroo launched in Basingstoke in 2016, more than 50 restaurants have signed up to the platform, 60 per cent of which are independent businesses. The service has also brought over 130 jobs to the area, most of which are food delivery riders.
