A DATE has been set for the return of the annual Winchester Cathedral Lantern Parade.
Participants are invited to bring their hand-made lanterns to the cathedral on November 29 at 6pm.
Spectators will be able to see the procession pass through Cathedral Close at 6.30pm, where there will also be live entertainment.
Local musicians will provide live concerts, the Winchester branch of Churches Together will lead carol singing and the event will end with a firework display.
Those wishing to enter themselves to walk with a lantern must register, for free, at www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk, or by calling 01962 857 275.
Following last year’s success, the festive procession has successfully secured a space in the city’s annual Christmas time activities.
