A BEGGAR has been ordered to pay £150 by magistrates for breaching a public order.
Janey Broomfield, 30, of Staple Gardens, admitted begging between March 29 and July 17 last year in breach of a community protection notice.
The court heard she harassed and intimidated members of the public and begged in a public place and sat in shop doorways.
Broomfield had denied the charge but the case was proved in her absence at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
She was fined £60 with a £30 victim surcharge and costs of £60.
