OVER the last week, you may have spotted many colourful rainbow drawings in the windows of people's houses.

This positive idea spread quickly on social media, encouraging youngsters to pick up some pens and pencils to let their creative juices flow and brighten people's days.

Drawing rainbows can help the younger members of the family do something fun while they stay at home to avoid the spread of coronavirus.

Rainbows of any size, design, or artistic ability are encouraged to be displayed on a window, whether that be in your house or on a car.

The rainbow mural painted at Sun Hill Infants School by staff and key workers' children is a great local example.

Headteacher, Kim Owen-Jones is running her Rainbow Class with the support of her staff.

Catherine Timmons, inclusion manager, said the school wanted the convey the message "that the children will get back to school at some point. We don't know when."

But in the meantime the children all have work to do from the website which staff upload daily, stories read by familiar staff beamed into their homes and emails from the headteacher.

We'd love you to share yours with us to give us all a welcome lift.

Get involved and send us your rainbows photos to news@hampshirechronicle.co.uk.
