Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service have responded to their Dublin counterparts over Shane Long's record-breaking goal last night.
Long netted the opener in just 7.69 seconds, beating former Tottenham defender Ledley King's previous Premier League record of 9.82 seconds.
The Saints striker has now scored three times in his last four games, which prompted the Dublin Fire Brigade to air their concern.
We're aware that #ShaneLong is on fire and have contacted our colleagues in Southampton fire brigade (@Hants_fire ) to let them know 😉 🚒 ⚽️ #PL #SaintsFC pic.twitter.com/QhyuW6QhOX

Despite Long's early strike, Watford struck a 90th minute equaliser through Andre Gray, which crushed Saints' hopes of moving eight points clear of the relegation zone.
And because their quest for Premier League survival rumbles on, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to Dublin Fire Brigade's tweet in excellent fashion.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will look at extinguishing him when @SouthamptonFC reach the magic 40 points #Safety ⚽️⏱️@ShaneLong7 @FAIreland @mattletiss7 @dailyecho @StMarys54 #SaintsFC #TeamHants 🥅🔥 https://t.co/Goh4nQFuxN
