CHARLOTTE Taylor was left thrilled with her display in victory over South East Stars, as her four-wicket haul inspired Southern Vipers to a seven-wicket victory in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

Spinner Taylor, who was last year's top wicket-taker in the competition, helped restrict Stars to 137 with figures of four for 21.

In reply, Vipers cruised to their target, winning with 128 balls to spare to extend their winning run to nine wins in this competition across two seasons.

“That was a fantastic victory," said Taylor.

"To get a win against these (Stars) who are a very good outfit on a sunny day in Beckenham – what more could you want.

“They were three very big wickets at the top, three players we needed to get early.

“That is the best I have bowled in a very long time. Just the way the ball was coming out and how I felt on the day.

"I think I bowled better (against Stars) than in last year’s final, I bowled with more control.

“The drift isn’t going anywhere, anywhere fast. It is something I do and it works for me."

Vipers return to action on Saturday, hosting Central Sparks at Hove.
