The 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship finale took place over the weekend, in Matterley Basin near Winchester, and fans were treated to another round of intense off-road motorcycle racing, in perfect weather conditions.
The sweeping valley circuit, which has been the home of the British Grand Prix for over a decade, hosted the fastest riders in the world for the 13th time.
Thousands of racing fans from around the world descended on the Matterley Basin on September 23 and 24.
A fantastic opening first race in the Premier MXGP class, saw the top five in the world battling hard.
Glen Coldenhoff from Holland was leading over newly crowned world champion, Jorge Prado from Spain who dropped to fourth. The race was eventually won by Tim Gajser from Slovenia, who was world champion in 2022.
In race two, Tim Gajser won again with Romain Febvre from France in second. Harri Kullas from the Hampshire based Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha team, finished 12th overall.
In the World Championship MX2 class, Jago Geerts from Belgium was victorious.
